BREAKING: The Barcelona star and former club target are seen with Luis Diaz amid rumors of a transfer.
This summer, Luis Diaz has been discussed in relation to Liverpool transfers. There have been rumors that Colombian international Luis Diaz of Liverpool might join Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo at Camp Nou.
Amid rising rumors concerning the 28-year-old’s future at Anfield and known interest from the Spanish powerhouses, Luis Diaz of Liverpool was purportedly photographed in Ibiza over the summer holiday with Dani Olmo of Barcelona.
After the season’s last game, Diaz participated in the Premier League title-winning celebrations, which culminated in the open-top bus procession on Monday, May 26. This marked the end of his most recent season with Liverpool. After the festivities, the winger took a plane back to Colombia to play in the World Cup qualifying tournament in June before beginning his summer vacation.
Transfer rumors have been growing over this time, with Liverpool thwarting Barcelona’s stated desire. The fact that Diaz has now been shown with a player from the same team who is interested in him adds a twist to the story.
Diaz was shown with Spanish international Olmo, Barcelona’s high-profile 2024 acquisition, on Toque Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter. During the transfer window last summer, Liverpool was also mentioned in relation to him.
They claim that the image was taken on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza and is recent. Their assertion is supported by the fact that Diaz’s recently lightened hair color seems to match one from a photo he shared on Instagram a day earlier.
The No. 7 had previously posted a number of pictures from his wedding to lover Gera Ponce on June 16 and 17, in which he was seen sporting his natural black hair.
Diaz is not on the Reds’ list of players they are eager to let go of this summer after rejecting Barca’s proposal. Even though his contract expires in two years, the club doesn’t seem to be in a rush to resolve the issue right now.
While downplaying rumors of leaving Liverpool, Diaz did hint at outside interest during the last international break.
As I have always stated, I am quite delighted at Liverpool. From day one, they’ve embraced me with great warmth,” he said.
Because we are speaking with teams, we are now in contact with Liverpool, which is typical given the opening transfer market. He continued, “We’re attempting to set up what’s best for us.”
“We’re discussing our options with clubs; this is standard practice in the market.
“I am awaiting the outcome. I’ll be content if Liverpool gives us a decent renewal or if I remain there for two years. It’s up to them now.
