BREAKING: A greater target is placed on the back of the former Boston College quarterback after further crazy remarks.

Thomas Castellanos, the recently hired quarterback for FSU, continues to contribute to the Seminoles’ 2025 opponents’ bulletin boards.

Thomas Castellanos, a former quarterback for Boston College, was expected to end up at Florida State under Mike Norvell once he hit the transfer portal. He is the dual-threat quarterback that the coach of the Seminoles wants.

Before being benched late last fall and quitting the team before the season concluded, Castellanos had mixed results at BC. Grayson James was chosen as his replacement by first-year head coach Bill O’Brien. A year and a half ago, Castellanos was recruited by former Eagles coach Jeff Hafley, who departed Chestnut Hill to become defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers. However, it appeared that Castellanos and his new coach did not get along.

On Monday, Castellanos had some eye-opening quotes to Pete Nakos from On3 Sports that may have been better off not said, but it seems that he didn’t hold back with Nakos about his time at BC and his future with FSU.

Former BC QB Thomas Castellanos continues to post bulletin board material

As he highlighted in a recent article, Castellanos struggled the last two seasons against Virginia Tech, which needed both wins in 2023 and 2024 against the Eagles just to become bowl-eligible. However, it appears that Castellanos struggled against a lot of the conference, as evident by his stats.

His latest quote was a beauty, “I feel like I tore the ACC up by my damn self for the last two years, and now I’m with a squad,” he told Nakos. ” I hope people don’t think that Florida State is going to be the same team it was last year because we have weapons. People can’t just sit back in zone coverage and watch me.”

Whoever is advising Castellanos, if anyone even is, might want to have a talk with him. The numbers don’t lie, 4-8 in ACC games with a 20-13 touchdown to interception ratio. Again, in the ACC. What would his numbers have looked like in the SEC or Big Ten? Heck, what would they have looked like in the Big 12?

This season Virginia Tech gets Florida State on the road and with a different roster in terms of talent in Tallahassee than he had with Boston College, Castellanos may very well get over the hump against the Hokies, but some of these quotes will come back and burn him if he doesn’t perform better than he did with the Eagles. He’s attracting a lot of eyes on him for the 2025 campaign.
