28-GOAL BARCELONA YOUNGSTER SET FOR SUMMER EXIT AFTER REJECTING CONTRACT RENEWAL OFFER
A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is all set for a departure from the club this summer.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Hugo Alba as the player in question.
Alba, for his part, is a 19-year-old centre forward, who spent this past season plying his trade with Barca’s U19s.
The starlet, labelled a ‘killer’ behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital, enjoyed a stellar campaign, racking up 28 goals across all competitions.
In turn, it will no doubt mark a source of concern for all associated with the Blaugrana to learn that Alba appears to be on the verge of a departure from the club.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Hugo Alba is one step away from signing for OFK Belgrade, a team in the Serbian First Division, until 2028.’
The talented young frontman recently made the call to reject Barca’s latest contract renewal offer, evidently keen to secure for himself regular game-time at senior level as soon as possible.
