Lamine Yamal Downplays No. 10 Shirt Speculation.

Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal has reacted to rumors he’d take over the iconic No. 10 shirt, currently worn by Ansu Fati, who’s expected to depart for Monaco. Yamal, who recently signed a contract extension until 2031, expressed no urgency to switch from his beloved No. 19 jersey.

“I’m comfortable with No. 19; it’s brought me luck,” Yamal told COPE. “When I shoot, I don’t think about the number on my shirt.” He also dismissed concerns about added pressure, seemingly unfazed by the prospect of wearing Lionel Messi’s legendary number. Only time will tell if Yamal will eventually don the No. 10 shirt.
