Ross from Married At First Sight UK shares sad family news
Ross McCarthy from Married At First Sight UK has taken to Instagram to share the sad news that his grandma has passed away.
The 32-year-old painter and decorator from Manchester, who was paired up with Sacha in the experiment, shared a post on social media in tribute, sharing a series of photos of them together and a touching tribute in the caption. He wrote:
“My nana, my queen, my world. Well what can I say, the past few months been a roller coaster. She’s very poorly & she’s 91 she’s nothing but a WARRIOR and an absolutely FIGHTER.
“You soon be going back to your husband (granddad) your both gonna be back where your both belong You’re not gonna be on your own you’re going back to your family we all know they will look after you up there.
“There be no more pains your gonna go nice and peacefully. I’m going to miss you so much but I know you had a nice life gonna miss you telling me all your past life stories your conversations can be for hours. I love you nana ”
Friends and fans in the comments were quick to share their condolences with Ross, who is currently taking part in the final week of MAFS UK on E4. He then took to Instagram Stories to share: “Just want to say a big massive thank you for all these comments it mean so much to me so I appreciate you all!”

After weeks of dramatic dinner parties, tough commitment ceremonies and awkward conversations with the experts, the Married At First Sight UK experiment wrapped up for season nine last month. It ended with a very tearful reunion that saw the majority of the cast members return, but now Adam has revealed ANOTHER reunion is happening, and it’s coming to our screens very soon.
The reality TV series sees experts pairing together couples who meet for the first time on their wedding day, before embarking on their marriage journey – going on honeymoon, moving in together and meeting the families, before deciding at the end of the experiment if they want to continue their marriage.
During the season’s run, we saw surprising exits (Ryan and Sionainn), unhappy marriages (Emma and Caspar) and two couples choose to continue their relationship outside the experiment (Lacey and Nathan, and Sacha and Ross).
