The top 3 players and their starting scores are set for the 2024 Tour Championship at East Lake from August 29 to September 1, a tournament that will decide the 2024 FedEx Cup champion.
The winner of the FedEx Cup will receive a PGA Tour record first prize of $25m.
Scottie Scheffler has led for much of the FedEx Cup season and that still remains the case heading into the FedEx Cup finale in Atlanta.
Scheffler will start the week at 10-under par.
That gives him a two-shot lead over Xander Schauffele, who starts at 8-under par.
World No.1 Scheffler has won six times officially on the PGA Tour this season, and seven in total if you count his Olympic gold medal in Paris this month.
World No2. Schauffele has won twice this season, but both of them have been majors at the US PGA and The Open.
Hideki Matsuyama will start in third place on 7-under par, providing he has recovered from his back injury that forced him out of the BMW Championship.
Keegan Bradley starts in fourth place at 6-under par having captured his seventh career title on the PGA Tour at the BMW Championship.
The newly-promoted US Ryder Cup captain started the BMW Championship in last place (50th) in the FedEx Cup standings.
Ludvig Aberg, who finished in a tie for second behind Bradley at the BMW Championship, rounds out the top five starting at 5-under par heading into his debut at the Tour Championship.
The top five players entering the 2024 Tour Championship are all going in search of their first FedEx Cup.
Rory McIlroy, who is a three-time FedEx Cup record holder, will once again be looking to come from off the pace to win the Tour Championship at six shots behind on 4-under par starting out on Thursday.
Elsewhere, defending champion Viktor Hovland starts way off the pace at eight shots adrift of Scheffler on 2-under par, with England’s Tommy Fleetwood a further shot back on 1-under par.
Justin Thomas narrowly made it through in 30th place and the 2017 FedEx Cup winner will start 10 shots back on level par.
