How do you feel?

The Las Vegas Raiders have made their decision on their biggest position battle in recent memory.

Sunday morning, first-year Las Vegas head coach Antonio Pierce announced that the team has decided that free-agent addition Gardner Minshew will be the starting quarterback for the regular season beginning September 8 at SoFi Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers at 1:05 p.m. PT.

Minshew. of course, was chosen over incumbent Aidan O’Connell after Saturday night’s 27-12 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at Allegiant Stadium.

The overall feel is less celebratory, but there a since of settlement. Both Minshew and O’Connell struggled during training camp and both had rough night’s against Dallas.

Both did play well in the preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings last week, but, for the most part, both quarterbacks were underwhelming in the competition.

But, in the end Pierce went with Minshew in part because of his experience, leadership, savvy and big-play potential. The Raiders are willing to live with his imperfections.

Now, that the decision has been made, how do you feel?
