For Texas Tech to break through in 2024, the program is finally going to have to keep its starting QB (Behren Morton) on the field after years of struggling with injuries at the position. If that happens, the Red Raiders could be a force in the new Big 12.
Tahj Brooks is one of the Big 12’s best running backs and he returns after a massive season in 2023. What’s more, the offense has added some big-time playmakers like Washington State transfer wide receiver Josh Kelly and five-star pass-catching freshman Micah Hudson.
On defense, Tech has to replace almost its entire secondary and its entire starting defensive line from last season. However, a bevy of talented young players are poised to get their shot at becoming regulars.
