After signing Russell Wilson and trading for Justin Fields, the Pittsburgh Steelers feel really good about their quarterback room heading into the 2024 season. Now, it’s time to ensure Arthur Smith’s offense has enough playmakers for Wilson to cook with in Pittsburgh.

George Pickens is the undoubted No. 1 target, and the hope is Pat Freiermuth can get back on track too. However, after trading Diontae Johnson and replacing him with Van Jefferson and Quez Watkins, the Steelers could still use more depth at the receiver position.

But there is still one former 1,000-yard receiver on the Steelers’ radar, and he’s very familiar to those who pay close attention to Pittsburgh’s AFC North rivals.

The player linked to the Steelers is former Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd, who’s still unsigned in free agency and has received an offer from Pittsburgh. Yet, the Steelers appear to have a specific price point they’re not willing to budge on.

Adding Boyd, who’s 29 and is coming off a 600-yard season despite the Bengals only getting ten games out of Joe Burrow, would give the Steelers yet another proven option with vet experience. Yet, the upside in finding another mid-round, or Day 3 gem could be more enticing for the front office.
