With less than a month left until the 2024 NFL Draft gets underway, with the Chicago Bears on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick, the rumors and speculation have really started to ramp up, with everyone chiming in on which quarterbacks are the best prospects in this draft class.
Although no one seems to be doubting the talent of USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams and the Bears ultimately taking him with the first pick in the draft on April 25, the real intrigue starts at No. 2 overall with the Washington Commanders on the clock.
Like the Bears, the Commanders desperately need a promising young quarterback to build around, and the team will have no shortage of options, even with Williams presumably off the board.
It seems as though three players are in serious contention for the No. 2 pick with Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and J.J. McCarthy all getting consideration to be the second player taken in the upcoming draft.
Although Maye seems to be the favorite to be taken by Washington, LSU head coach Brian Kelly believes it should be Daniels who heads to the nation’s capital to be the next quarterback to wear a Commanders jersey via Commanders Nation.
