Florida State is gearing up to host its biggest recruiting event of the spring on March 23 as the Seminoles will welcome many of their top commitments and targets on campus for their annual Legacy Weekend event.
Legacy Weekend is when FSU hosts both former Seminole football players as well as top recruits on campus to spend time together. Noles247 has learned that a top FSU commit has locked in plans to attend the star-studded event…
Spring camp starts this upcoming week for Florida State, signaling a transition point for the program as the Seminoles move on from a veteran-led team that went undefeated through the regular season to a new-look group stacked with talent, but also unknowns.
Part of any transition means change. That change will place an emphasis on competition this spring, and competition will lead to further change. The status quo is adjustable right now, so players are going to vie for different roles in order to fill the void left by so many departed upperclassmen.
In short, this is a big spring to adjust the pecking order of the roster.
In the past, we’ve done a ‘now or never’ sort of theme for camp previews. Recent history has shown that development happens at all times under this regime, so discounting a player isn’t wise nor fair. And it doesn’t necessarily fit the projections or reasoning for some of the players on this list.
Yes, some are facing competition that could determine their outlook entering the summer…and perhaps alter the way a player views his chances of playing in 2024.
