With the departure of Patrice Bergeron, the Boston Bruins desperately needed Charlie Coyle to step up this season and he has accepted the challenge.

In his last 18 games, Coyle has 12 assists and six goals with three of the six being game-winning goals for the B’s. The Bruins forward is on pace to surpass his career high in points (56).

NEW DELHI: The Vancouver Canucks staged an impressive comeback against the Boston Bruins in a thrilling Saturday night showdown, ultimately clinching a 3-2 victory in overtime. Brock Boeser emerged as the hero for the Canucks, scoring two crucial goals including the game-winner just 1:34 into the extra period.
The game started with the Bruins taking control, as Jesper Boqvist and Danton Heinen found the back of the net to give Boston a 2-0 lead in the second period.

Boeser ignited the Canucks’ rally with a timely goal at 12:49 of the third period, slipping a quick shot past Boston goaltender Jeremy Swayman to cut the deficit to 2-1. Filip Hronek then equalized the score with just 1:11 remaining in regulation, unleashing a powerful slap shot from the center point to send the game into overtime.

In the overtime period, Boeser sealed the victory for the Canucks with a deft tip-in off J.T. Miller’s shot from above the left circle, securing the dramatic come-from-behind win for Vancouver.
Miller played a pivotal role in the Canucks’ offense, contributing three assists on the night, while goaltender Thatcher Demko made 20 saves to anchor the team’s defense.
Despite the loss, Swayman put on a stellar performance for the Bruins, making 36 saves including 15 in the third period to keep his team in the game.

With the win, the Canucks snapped a four-game losing streak ..
