“We want to go somewhere we feel loved and wanted” THREE HUSKERS PLAYERS HAVE FINALLY ANNOUNCED DEPARTURE JUST NOW.

Last season, few players had as much defensive impact as Keylan Abrams. The three-star 2025 linebacker from Desoto (Texas) was a force as a pass rusher last season, recording 87 stops, 21 tackles for loss, and 23.5 sacks to help lead the Eagles to their second consecutive 6A-II state title.

According to 247Sports, Abrams is the No. 78 linebacker in the country and the No. 117 overall prospect in Texas. He is 6-feet, 195 pounds. Abrams committed to Purdue last summer, but he has just chosen to reopen his recruitment. While he still has a lot of admiration for the Boilermakers, he wants to see what his new hire has to offer.

“I believe I shut it down too early and I just want to experience the entire recruiting process,” Abrams said. “I want to go somewhere that I feel loved and wanted, which I felt at Purdue for sure. I just wanted to open my recruitment back up.”
