Dunedin, Florida – The Blue Jays’ collection of former major leaguers to add to roster depth began late Friday, when the organization agreed to a minor league contract with veteran DH Daniel Vogelbach.
The left-handed batter is expected to fight for a depth bench spot and has been invited to major league camp.

Vogelbach, 31, was with the Jays briefly in 2020, appearing in only two games. He most recently played for the New York Mets, where he batted.233 with 13 home runs in 319 plate appearances last season.
The move comes a day after the Jays signed veteran infielder Eduardo Escobar to a similar agreement.
