Currently the third-ranked linebacker (No. 82 overall by 247Sports) is four-star Thomas Davis Jr. of Matthews (N.C.) Weddington.
Davis (6-2, 205) tells Clemson247 he’ll make the trip to Clemson on March 9 for the Tigers’ junior day.
His offers include Auburn, Penn State, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, N.C. State, USC, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Miami among others.
South Carolina, N.C. State, and Duke received visits in January.
He’s the son of former NFL Draft first-round draft pick and Pro Bowl linebacker Thomas Davis, who became a 16-year NFL veteran, playing 14 of those years with the Carolina Panthers. He played his college career at Georgia.
As a sophomore last fall, Davis produced 92 tackles (13.5 tackles for a loss, including one sack) and seven quarterback hurries in 16 games. He broke up eight passes, recorded one interception, and caused one fumble. Davis also plays basketball and track.
He has stated in previous interviews that he hopes to attend the same college as his twin cousins, Class of 2026 Weddington defensive linemen Aiden Harris and Drew Harris. Haven’t confirmed it yet, but it’s a smart bet that both Harrises will also be in Clemson for junior day.
In recent days, 2026s Composite five-stars cornerback Samari Matthews of Cornelius (N.C.) Hough and offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko of Durham (N.C.) South Garner, plus wide receiver Brody Keefe of Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park, announced on social media their intentions to be at Clemson on March 9 too.
