Signing Day is drama free in the quarterback department to close out the Class of 2024 as all of 247Sports’ top 25 players at the position made it official entering Wednesday. SEC and Big Ten programs signed eight of the top-10 signal callers quarterbacks this time around, including all three five-stars — Florida’s DJ Lagway, Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola and Alabama signee Julian Sayin, who transferred to Ohio State as the top player on the market at his position.

In comparison to last recruiting cycle, three of the five players at the top of the class at the position made starts as true freshmen, including Tennessee’s Nico Iamaleava and Oklahoma’s Jackson Arnold during bowl season. Both of those guys are expected to be the full-time QB1 for the Vols and Sooners in 2024, while Arch Manning backs up Quinn Ewers at Texas and former UCLA and USC signees, Dante Moore and Malachi Nelson, start new careers at Oregon and Boise State after transferring.

Several of the 25 highest-rated quarterbacks in this 2024 cycle will eventually be NFL Draft picks — at least that’s the expectation from a scouting and evaluation standpoint.
