Anthony Weaver, the first-year defensive coordinator, expanded his coaching staff with the addition of outside linebackers coach Ryan Crow. He has been an outside linebackers coach since 2021, having previously spent the last six seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

According to MMQB senior reporter Albert Breer, Crow is being hired by the Miami Dolphins, with interest also coming from the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks.

According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, former Dolphins outside linebackers coach Ryan Slowik, who also auditioned for the team’s defensive coordinator role, will stay on the staff. However, his position has not been revealed.

The Dolphins signed Joe Barry, the former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator, to teach the inside linebackers earlier this week. Miami was rated 22nd in 2023 with an average of 23.2 points allowed per game, but that figure increased to 34.3 in the final three weeks of the season.

After the coaching staff is determined, the Dolphins will have to deal with their -$50 million salary cap space before the league year begins on March 15.
