A star-studded collection of outstanding prospects came on Eugene this weekend for Junior Day, as Dan Lanning and the Ducks attempted to sign another top-tier class for the 2025 cycle. Dakorien Moore, a 5-star Duncanville (Texas) wide receiver who has verbally committed to LSU, was one of the stars that traveled. He talked to Ducks Digest about the trip and the latest on his recruiting.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver has been committed to the Tigers since August, but the ties he’s formed with the Oregon coaches have made it difficult to stay away. “They have shown me a lot of affection since the beginning. Moore explained why he took the trip, saying, “I truly believe it was genuine love.” “I feel like when it comes to Coach (Junior) Adams and Coach (Dan) Lanning I can really like trust him or what they’re saying.”

Spending time on campus with other prospects and immersing himself in the football atmosphere in Eugene were two of his favorite parts of the trip. “Just being among the other players who were being recruited down there. Dallas Wilson has committed there. You had Jordan Davison from California. There were a number of nice recruits down there who they were also showing affection to. It’s inexplicable, guy. They showed us a lot, and it really is a different area down there.” With a recruit as wanted as Moore, one might expect Oregon to offer something unusual, but it’s more of the same from Lanning and the Ducks.

“I would just say relationships,” he remarked. “That is exactly what they are preaching down there.” Relationships, attention, and football. It’s simple to concentrate down there.”There are no distractions, and the fact that they have relationships down there makes it much easier since everyone is feeding everyone. Everyone is keeping everyone focused. Everyone is making sure each other is grinding. Nobody is jealous. “It is just another culture down there, man.” Moore, who spoke about his connection with Lanning, appears to find stability at the head of the program appealing as well.
