Miami feels like ‘home’ to sought receiver Tyler Williams.

To start the weekend, Miami hosted one of the Class of 2025’s fastest-rising wide receivers on Friday.

Riverview (Florida) Tyler Williams of Sumner has seen his profile skyrocket in the last two weeks, with offers from schools including Miami, Oregon, Georgia, Auburn, Louisville, Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder spent the day in Coral Gables just a few days after receiving a visit from Mario Cristobal, Kevin Beard, and other important Miami personnel.

TJ Alford, a highly regarded linebacker, has a decision date set.

Vero Beach (Fla.) High Top247 2025 linebacker Tarvos TJ Alford has confirmed to 247Sports that he will commit on March 30.

“Florida, Miami, UCF, Florida State, Ohio State, and Tennessee,” are the finalists.

He told 247Sports over the weekend that his recruitment has split between Ohio State, Miami, and UCF.

“Right now, I’m feeling the best about Miami, Ohio State, UCF, and a couple of other schools,” Alford told 247 Sports.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Alford, ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 7 linebacker and No. 48 prospect overall, returned to Miami this past weekend.

“Really how they use their linebackers,” Alford explained. “They allowed their linebackers to be athletes. I believe that is who I am. They allowed them to come to a halt, cover, and descend down the cliff. That fits me well.”

The Buckeyes program also ticks several boxes for Alford. He will return on March 23.

“Really, Coach (James) Laurinaitis,” Alford stated. “He achieved it at the greatest level, winning the Butkus Award and numerous other accolades. I believe that in order to be the best, you must first learn from the best.

“Back in the day, Ohio State was just an offensive school. I believe that since Coach (Jim) Knowles took over, their defense has improved significantly and is now one of the best in the country.

UCF has been growing alongside Alford.

“Coach Gus (Malzahn) is a great guy,” that’s what he stated. “He’s been around this for a while. I believe he is the only guy who has defeated Saban at least three times. I believe he is an excellent head coach, and UCF is on the rise.

Alford wishes to make the rounds before committing.

“I know I’m getting back to Ohio State in the spring,” he remarked. “UCF in the Spring. Auburn throughout the spring.”

Alford discussed what he was seeking for in a school.

“Really somewhere my family feels comfortable at,” Alford said of his search. “Where they can leave me off and say they’ll look after my son. Someone who will help me develop both on and off the field, as well as an excellent educational system.
