Former Arizona cornerback Ephesians Prysock entered the transfer portal a week ago, and there is speculation that he may be following his old coaching staff.
Prysock is one of the best cover corners in the transfer portal, having started every game for the Wildcats previous season. He was named All Pac-12 Honorable Mention and is a strong NFL Draft candidate due to his length and quickness.
The first transfer portal window of 2024 has closed, so it’s time to take a step back and assess the fit of some of college football’s recognizable stars who have found new homes. What makes this cycle so exciting is the combination of huge stars from large institutions making transfers, as well as Group of Five players who have risen to the Power Five levels.
Teams have previously had success to varied degrees using hidden jewels. Can this continue in 2024?
Quarterbacks are always the most talked-about position. They touch the ball on every play and have the greatest immediate influence on the game. There are only a limited amount of starting quarterback spots in NCAA football, therefore there will always be constant transfer movement at that position. The names are also well-known, either due to high-profile recruitments or previous performance.
This cycle, transfer portal veterans Dillion Gabriel and DJ Uiagalelei made additional transfers, while young quarterbacks at USC and Texas left the programs. These decisions will be followed throughout the next few seasons.
