Miami intends to make a big push for Auburn commit and Top247 DL Malik Autry.

Mario Cristobal, defensive coordinator Lance Guidry, and offensive line analyst Ed Pata landed a helicopter near Auburn, Alabama, on Tuesday as the Hurricanes attempt to lure one of the nation’s finest defensive lineman away from the nearby Tigers.

Opelika (Ala.) Top247 defensive lineman Malik Autry has been committed to Auburn, which is just 20 minutes away from his hometown, since February 2023. That hasn’t stopped Miami from entering Hugh Freeze’s property with the purpose of removing the 6-foot-6, 280-pounder from his house.

Autry, the No. 89 overall player and the No. 7 defensive lineman in the Class of 2025, appears to be intrigued in what the Hurricanes have to say.

WR NAESHAUN MONTGOMERY EXPLAINS RECRUITING STRATEGY

MIAMI — Naeshaun Montgomery switched from quarterback to receiver after transferring from Warwick (R.I.) Bishop Hendricken to Miami Central.

That was before his sophomore season, and while he works to improve his technique, he is implementing advice he receives from college coaches while still navigating his recruitment.

The 6-foot, 160-pound Montgomery spent the weekend at Miami, and he plans to visit Colorado and Ohio State before returning to Penn State when the spring window opens.
