Columbus (Ohio), Upper Arlington 2025 fringe Cal Thrush was among the prospects that attended Louisville Football’s Junior Day on Saturday. During the visit, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound three-star recruit was able to see the program’s facilities, tour campus, meet with the coaching staff, and more.

“It was good,” Thrush informed Cardinal Authority. “It was a great first impression of how they run things, and it was nice to get around and see campus and the city, along with the facilities.”

Detroit Cass Tech defensive end John Baker came to Louisville this weekend as part of a hectic junior day.

He is a top 2025 target for the staff, and his interactions with the Cardinals and their coaches have resulted in a mutual liking on his part.

“I spent some time with Coach Hagen, and I think the staff is always nice and feels like family,” he stated. “I felt the campus was quite attractive, and I like the near proximity to downtown. “I’ve always liked that it’s a college town.”

The early days of the college football offseason are essential for schools throughout the country as they look to minimize their shortcomings and maximize their possibilities for the upcoming season. No school performed better in that process this month than Ohio State, which maintained the great bulk of its top draft-eligible athletes while also securing significant transfer portal victory.

Offseason success does not necessarily lead to titles. Every squad starts the season with a lot of variables that may make or break it. For example, while the Buckeyes may have all of the skill needed to win a national championship, they must improve on their playoff record under head coach Ryan Day.

Swing games, injuries, the effects of new coaching hiring, and a slew of other factors all play important parts in establishing a team’s floor and ceiling. Some teams confront more hurdles than others in certain areas. Coaches and players will do all possible over the next seven months to position themselves properly in these critical areas.
