Then again, the sirens went off inside Madison Square Garden immediately after the game, as it appeared that they had to pay a high price to win.
All-Star PF Julius Randle hurt his shoulder late in the Heat victory, and it did not look good.
Fortunately, fans may take a big sigh of relief as Shams Charania of The Athletic confirmed that Randle will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a dislocated shoulder.
“Knicks star Julius Randle is expected to be sidelined for at least a few weeks with a right shoulder dislocation,” Charania said in a statement.
They expected to be without their second-best scorer for a lengthy time, but an MRI revealed no structural damage.
The Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers are now competing for the fourth slot in the Eastern Conference, and they are only six games behind the first-place Boston Celtics.
Needless to say, losing Randle will be a huge blow to their offense, especially given their lack of depth at the position.
