Ederson departed Brazil during the winter of 2022 to join Salernitana. Over the next six months, he established himself with the Italian club, earning a transfer to Atalanta. Since joining them, he has appeared in 64 matches and scored nine goals.
Seven of those goal contributions have occurred during the current season. He has appeared in 27 games and has accumulated over 2,200 minutes. The 24-year-old is doing everything right, which is why Newcastle is interested in having him on their roster.
The Magpies would want to add Ederson to their roster during the present transfer window. However, they have just found themselves in a difficult financial situation. They cannot afford him right now since he would cost roughly £30-40 million. They might, however, return next summer to recruit the former Brazil youth international.
