The Buffalo Bills dismissed offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey more than two months ago, and while Joe Brady did a good job in the interim, the team is still seeking for a full-time successor. At the same time, Dorsey is getting attention from other clubs. Dorsey, who interviewed for the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator post earlier this week, is scheduled to meet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Dorsey, 42, has been with the Bills since 2019, first as a quarterbacks coach, progressing to passing game coordinator in 2021, and eventually taking over as offensive coordinator when Brian Daboll left in 2022. His tenure as offensive coordinator was not without its ups and downs, but the Bills finished second in total and scoring offense last season under his direction.

However, Dorsey’s offense was a whole different story this season. The Bills struggled to a 5-5 start, with turnovers and other preventable blunders costing them many games. After a disheartening 24-22 defeat against the Denver Broncos in Week 10, the Bills fired Dorsey. Buffalo’s offense improved substantially under Brady, as the club finished 7-2 and advanced to the Divisional Round with him calling the shots.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are searching for a new offensive coordinator after Dave Canales quit to become head coach of the Carolina Panthers on Thursday. They’ve wasted no time in finding a replacement, having scheduled interviews with Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson, and former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson.

Additionally, the Bills have requested to interview Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis, a former Buffalo quarterback and Tampa Bay’s top internal choice to replace Canales, for their own offensive coordinator opening.
