It’s clear that the Cowboys are all in on their Super Bowl run. The team expects to lose their defensive coordinator to a head coaching position in the off season. Dan Quinn was the Atlanta Falcons’ head coach and led them to the Super Bowl. He aspires to accomplish the same in Dallas, but regardless of whether the club gets there or not, Quinn has earned a head coaching position with the manner he turned around a dismal defense in two seasons.
Micah Parsons was interviewed and questioned about his opinions on the potential of Quinn leaving the squad. Parsons, who has had Quinn as a coach since he was selected, was devastated by the news, but said, “It’s business.”
Cowboys DE/LB Micah Parsons discusses DC Dan Quinn is attracting head coaching attention, and this could be his last stint with Quinn: “That’s the nature of the business. This could be my last ride with Q. And if it is, we’ll make it a damn good one.”
This statement puts Cowboys fans at a really confusing place. Many fans expected to lose Quinn and that this very well might be his last season with the team, but they did not expect Parsons to say that Quinn could take him with him.
Now fans all around the league are pondering the thought of Parsons leaving the Cowboys. The most popular team name that is getting tossed around with Quinn’s name is the Seattle Seahawks, but would Quinn convince Parsons to leave with him?
That is a question that will leave Cowboys fans up at night as they await Sunday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Cowboys still have to pay their two prodigies in Lamb and Parsons, so it is more likely that the star defensive end just said this in a way to heat up his contract conversation.
