Good news for the Seminoles! Linebacker DJ Lundy — who entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal in December — has withdrawn from the portal and is expected to remain in Tallahassee, according to an On3 report.

A separate source tells Noles247 that the possibility of Lundy returning to Florida State is ‘real.’

Lundy had been committed to transfer to Colorado and even visited Boulder this past weekend as he was expected to enroll at Deion Sanders’ program in the near future.

This marks a massive win for the ‘Noles as the offseason departure of both starting linebackers in 2023, Tatum Bethune and Kalen DeLoach, left the linebacker room in need of some help.

Over four seasons at FSU, Lundy played in 45 games with 17 starts. Lundy played in a rotational role in all 13 games of FSU’s perfect 2023 regular season. He produced 54 total tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks. He also had one interception, four pass breakups, and a QB hit.

In his career, Lundy had 183 total tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, and one forced fumble.

The 6-foot-1, 244-pound linebacker also got limited work for FSU at fullback over the last couple of years. He has four career rushing attempts for three yards and three touchdowns. Lundy had one reception for two yards and a touchdown.
