Seattle Seahawks’ linebacker Bobby Wagner was among three Seahawks’ players who were selected to the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, the NFL announced Wednesday.
Wagner, along with rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon and safety Julian Love were selected. Wagner was named to the Pro Bowl for the ninth time in his career, Witherspoon and Love were first-time selections.Wagner’s ninth Pro Bowl selection during his 11 years in the NFL ties him with Hall of Fame tackle Walter Jones and quarterback Russell Wilson for the most in franchise history.
Wagner returned to the Seahawks in 2023 after spending a year with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. He leads the team with 168 total tackles, second in the NFL and the number is just three away from his career high. Wagner also has 3.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Wagner has posted at least 100 tackles in 12 consecutive seasons, just the third player to do so since the NFL began tracking tackles as a statistic.
Love, who signed with the Seahawks as a free agent in March, has set career-highs in interceptions (four) and passes defensed (10), and has 103 tackles, while also playing a big role on special teams, recording a team-leading 12 tackles.
