The trade deadline has arrived, and the Nets have some alternatives.

The OG Anunoby trade to the Knicks signaled the start of trade season for the NBA. Teams are looking for big moves to improve their squad, and the Nets could be one of those squads.

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley wrote an article about every team and their potential targets during this busy trade season. All three primary targets fit well into Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn’s system.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have said they’re committed to their core, but Donovan Mitchell’s situation is still a bit muddy. Most of the NBA expects him to decline his $37 million player option for the 2025/26 season after he said he wouldn’t be signing a new contract with Cleveland.

The Knicks and Nets, according to Action Network’s Matt Moore, were possible landing locations for Spida. However, with the Anunoby trade, the Knicks shipped most of their valuable assets to the Nets, making them a more likely landing spot today. The Cavs would love to obtain one of Brooklyn’s remaining draft picks.

The former Louisville Cardinal will be the starter, with Mikal Bridges shifting to a more natural backup role. Mikal may concentrate on off-ball scoring and outstanding defense there.

While Trae Young is considered the franchise cornerstone for the Atlanta Hawks, he has been involved in trade rumors since April 2023.

Brooklyn needs more playmakers, and getting Young would be a monumental move. Trae will create many possibilities with his expertise in the pick-and-roll and pinpoint passes to open shooters.

The two-time All-Star will be a massive addition to coach Vaughn’s team but will command a huge trade package. This is an unlikely trade because of Atlanta’s commitment to Trae, but anything is possible in the NBA.
