Following his team’s 27-20 overtime loss to the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines in Monday’s Rose Bowl, Alabama Crimson Tide standout linebacker Dallas Turner declared his NFL Draft intentions with conviction. The junior standout, who is expected to be a high first-round choice in the NFL Draft in April, told ESPN’s Alex Scarborough that he will be departing Tuscaloosa early. “I’m gone,” Turner said. “Ain’t no if, ands or buts about it.”

The 2023 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, who recorded three tackles and a sack in the loss to the Wolverines, is widely regarded as one of the greatest pass rushers in the country. Turner led Alabama with nine sacks, including a team-high 13.5 for loss and two forced fumbles this season. Turner finished his three years at Alabama with 21.5 sacks and 117 tackles.

The 6’4″, 242-pound standout edge rusher will most likely hear his name called on April 25 in Detroit.
