Against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Seattle Seahawks will be missing at least five players and may be missing five more. Due to knee swelling, star safety Jamal Adams will not participate in games. Adams has missed the last three games in a row, therefore the squad has chosen to bench him for the time being.
Frank Clark, an odd announcement, will sit out again with the rest tag after not playing at all last week. There won’t be just one defensive lineman absent. Mario Edwards was listed as questionable, but Pete Carroll ruled him out due to a knee injury. It is anticipated that Edwards would miss the game. Boye Mafe, Derick Hall, and more players will need to step up for the team.
Finally, Jason Peters, a vital reserve on the offensive line, will miss the contest due to a foot ailment. He might miss a few weeks due to his absence. However, the dubious tags are where the big names are hidden, and things may get dicey there. Dee Eskridge, a wide receiver, is still out due to a rib ailment.
DK Metcalf did not rehearse, but Carroll appeared hopeful about playing. If he couldn’t, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba can expect a lot of work, but more Jake Bobo too. Despite being sick and having a shoulder ailment, running back Kenneth Walker III practiced on Friday. Carroll stated that his decision would be made at the start of the game.
Cornerback Devon Witherspoon seemed to be ready for the role. Witherspoon has practiced all three days this week and appears to be more at ease being free before the Steelers game, even though Carroll did label him as a game-time decision.
Jordyn Brooks, the linebacker, was the day’s biggest surprise. He practiced for the first time this week, but it will be decided at game time. Carroll didn’t seem too hopeful about playing to begin the week, but there’s always a chance after a Friday session. Devin Bush will get the start if he is out.
Finally, Nick Bellore, a reserve linebacker and fullback, is doubtful due to a knee ailment.
