According to NFL Insider, the Cowboys are ready to make Dak Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history, and might pay him $60 million per year.
According to one NFL insider, the Cowboys are poised to give Dak Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Dallas Cowboys are keen to resign Prescott to a large contract this offseason.
“Dak Prescott’s been lights out all season in Dallas,” Schultz told ESPN. “Both he and the #Cowboys are highly motivated to secure a long-term extension this offseason that I’m told will make Dak one of . if not the, highest-paid NFL QB.”
Schultz went on to state that he believes Prescott could earn between $55 and $60 million per year on a new contract.
“He’ll get between $55 and $60 million,” Schultz said. “We’ve already seen Joe Burrow get that $55 (million) number, and Dak Prescott has a chance to reset it.”
“I think the floor is around $55 (million), remember, both sides are highly motivated.”
Prescott had been performing well all season and was considered an MVP candidate until the team’s recent streak of losses.
