DJ Lundy of Florida State will play for the Colorado Buffaloes in 2024.

On Monday, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders and his team assisted in delivering a holiday gift to Buff Nation.

At a position of need, the Buffaloes have added an experienced, established player. After four years at Florida State, linebacker DJ Lundy plans to move to Colorado for the 2024 season.

During his time in Tallahassee, Lundy amassed 170 tackles, 14 for a loss, two-and-a-half sacks, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

He was also employed as a situational offensive player, scoring two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.

According to Pro Football Focus, Lundy played 403 defensive snaps in 2023, grading out at 78.2 overall, ranking him sixth among Seminole defenders who helped the team go undefeated.

Lundy received a 74.6 from PFF the previous year, in 2022. In comparison, only Travis Hunter (74.8) had a higher score on Colorado’s defense this season.

Lundy appeared in 42 games for the Seminoles and will have one year of eligibility remaining to play for the Buffaloes.

As a senior, Lundy helped lead Irwin County to a 13-0 record and the 2A state championship. He is originally from Ocilla, Ga. He was voted the top defensive player in his region after assisting an Indians defense that allowed only 5.4 points per game, including seven shutouts. During his sophomore season, Lundy again helped Irwin County capture the state championship. He also won three consecutive state wrestling championships and concluded the year with a perfect 36-0 record.

Lundy also visited Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech before committing to Florida State out of high school.

For 2024, the Buffaloes now have 18 scholarship transfer commitments.
