Alabama football coach Nick Saban’s record would be untarnished if the team failed to win the national championship.
The greatest outcome for Alabama over the next few weeks, according to Mr. Obvious, would be to win the College Football Playoff national championship. This would require victories over Michigan in the Rose Bowl on January 1 and Texas or Washington, the winners of the Sugar Bowl, in the Houston title game on January 8.
In light of this, the simplest solution is obviously not taking home the trophy.
Alabama welcomed 23 new signees on Wednesday as part of the Early Signing Period. When the dust settled on Wednesday, the Crimson Tide finished with the No. 2-ranked recruiting class in the country.
Wednesday was a busy day, with early commits officially signing, others committing and signing on the same day, some kids flipping from other schools to Alabama, and the Crimson Tide staff running the race with others who opted for other schools.
