Head coach Steve Sarkisian of the Texas Longhorns offered his reflections on the program’s triumphant Early Signing Day, during which Texas signed four five-star recruits for their 2024 class.
The influence that current players had in persuading the 2024 class to join them on campus for the upcoming semester or football season was noteworthy, as reported by Inside Texas and highlighted by Sarkisian.
“I believe that our current players are one of the other key components that will actually determine how well we recruit. They perform admirably. And our guys know that the better the players surrounding them, the stronger our team will be, and the more chances they have to win titles and, ideally, realize their NFL aspirations, and other things of that kind,” Sarkisian stated.
“Our players get a lot of credit for this recruiting class as well,” the head coach continued, “because it makes it a lot harder without them talking about the program, how we go about our business, and solidifying some of the thoughts people have.” I am incredibly appreciative of those individuals and pleased of the effort they have put into this recruiting class.
