Austin Jordan, Ryan Watts, and Xavier Worthy all worked out on Wednesday.

Texas’s Austin Steve Sarkisian, the head coach of the Texas Longhorns, gave an update on the injuries to junior wide receiver Xavier Worthy, senior cornerback Ryan Watts, and sophomore nickel back Austin Jordan during the team’s third practice in advance of the College Football Playoffs on Wednesday during the team’s Early Signing Day press conference.

“In terms of health, I thought it was the coolest part that all those guys looked so good when they were practicing today.” Are they all, you know, really 100 percent? “I’m not sure,” Sarkisian responded.

“However, given that the game is still two weeks away, I am aware that they appear quick and were moving around. Thus, I believe that everything is headed in the right direction in that regard. They were leaving, so that’s a positive sign. I believe everyone will be present for the game.

Worthy was tackled awkwardly on the sideline in the second half of the Longhorns’ most recent Big 12 championship game, resulting in an ankle injury that required him to leave the game earlier this month. X-rays were initially negative after the Cowboys victory.

Sarkisian in Arlington stated, “The good news is we have plenty of time now to really get him healthy. He’s been dealing with the ankle stuff here for the past month or so.”

Watts was forced to miss three games against Kansas due to a hamstring ailment. The Ohio State transfer hurt his back on the first play from scrimmage in the regular-season finale, and he was out against Oklahoma State the following week.

Sarkisian, who was one of the three players, was the least confident that Jordan would participate in the College Football Playoffs following his injury-related absence from the Big 12 Championship game. A key member of the special teams unit, the nickel back co-backup has played in that phase for 222 of his 243 snaps this season.
