He is the best Option: Ohio State signing him, is the best decision as….
|Ohio State Football undisputed best choice at quarterback in 2024
The Ohio State football team will prepare for the 2024 season and the 12-team playoff after the Cotton Bowl on December 29. With Kyle McCord entering the transfer portal, let’s take a look at all of Ryan Day’s alternatives at quarterback.
Brown, Devin
Brown will be a junior next year and was already competing with McCord for the starting role this year. Despite flashes of stardom, he was ultimately ineligible to be the starter. He has more experience than any other quarterback on the team, having played in five games this season.
Kienholz, Lincoln
Kienholz, a true sophomore next year, is already a fan favorite. He has been dubbed the best athlete in South Dakota history, and he could have a chance to prove it next season, or perhaps sooner, in the Cotton Bowl. He may lack the experience of Devin Brown, but he could be a potential alternative if he gets a shot against Missouri.
Noland Air
Next season, Noland will be a freshman. He has a cannon of an arm, having thrown for 126 touchdowns in high school. Noland is also a 5-star prospect and the 25th overall pick in the 2024 class. If the Buckeyes want to start over, Noland could be the best option.
Portal for Transfer
Cam Ward, Dante Moore, and Riley Leonard are all possible candidates for the transfer portal. Ward is a terrific playmaker from Washington State, and Moore will be a sophomore following his one-year stint at UCLA. Leonard may be a reach given that he appears to be headed to Notre Dame, but it is still a feasible option given the Ohio State football team’s track record at the position in comparison to the Irish.
Best Alternative
When considering our options, I believe the greatest person would be to get Cam Ward out of the gateway. Ward is most comparable to Justin Fields/CJ Stroud and is a fun player to watch. He possesses a cannon arm and can create plays with his legs.
