Brien Taylor commits to the Florida Gators over Georgia
The Florida Gators picked up their 20th commitment of the Class of 2024 on Monday following a weekend full of official visits.
JUCO defensive lineman Brien Taylor (6-5, 270, Houston, TX. Blinn College) committed to Florida over Georgia and others on Monday after he was in Gainesville this past weekend.
Taylor enjoyed his time in Gainesville and credits outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson for keeping the Gators in the mix for him after Sean Spencer left.
“He did a real good,” Taylor said of Mike Peterson recruiting him. “He’s a real good dude, he wants to make sure I know that I can come in and work. He said we will take it one step at a time. I’m an every-down player and I’m ready to get to work with him.”
While on campus, Taylor had the chance to pick the mind of a fellow defensive lineman who explained that early playing time is there for the taking for Taylor.
“Caleb Banks, he said I can come in and handle business,” Taylor said on his player host. “He says it’s all up to me on how hard I work and that this is the place to be to turn things around.”
Taylor joins defensive linemen LJ McCray, Michai Boireau, and Amaris Williams in the Class of 2024.
