Raiders star running back has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots.

Josh Jacobs, the outstanding running back for the Las Vegas Raiders, has emerged as a significant player who could sign with a new team in free agency this winter. Jacobs does not have a multi-year deal and is on the franchise tag for the 2023 season. With the organization likely to appoint a new general manager next season, it’s unknown how much the team values the star running back, which might lead to him signing with another team, such as the New England Patriots.

According to Kay, it’s unclear whether Jacobs will be back in Las Vegas next season. The team may go into rebuild mode next season, which may force them to eliminate expensive players in order to keep the star running back.

“While Jacobs is still finding the end zone on a regular basis and is on pace for a career-high performance as a pass-catcher–he has 35 receptions for 280 yards through the first 12 games–his market will be limited due to his meager 3.5 yards per carry.” Jacobs appears to be destined for a non-contender in 2024, one loaded with cap money that requires a ball carrier to bear a large load owing to a dearth of quality at center.”

Under Bill Belichick, New England was renowned for not paying their running backs; however, some speculations have the head coach moving on to another club this season, which might change the organization’s priorities depending on who replaces him. It will also rely on whether or not the Raiders retain Antonio Pierce as head coach. Jacobs will most likely remain in Las Vegas if Pierce stays with the organization.

With the way things have been going for both teams this season, this forecast appears to have a lot of “ifs.” Moving on from important players and starting anew appears to be the greatest match for both organizations right now, with both likely undergoing huge changes throughout the upcoming offseason.
