Remember when Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid couldn’t place Packers Star?
Jordan Love, the Green Bay Packers quarterback who has established a rhythm in his first full season as a starter, has a surprising amount of history with the Kansas City Chiefs, given his very small career sample size.
On Sunday, the Chiefs (8-3) will return to Lambeau Field for another shot at Love.
Love made his only career start before 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas Love completed 19 of 34 passes for 190 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in a 13-7 loss to City. Love was standing in for Aaron Rodgers, who was sidelined as part of the COVID-19 procedure.
That made it even amusing earlier this year when Chiefs coach Andy Reid was caught off guard by a question about Love at the NFL owners meetings, when he was asked about the projected heir apparent, with Rodgers wanting to play for the New York Jets.
“I’m trying to remember Jordan Love,” Reid admitted before being informed that Love started against the Chiefs for the Packers. “Form what I remember, I thought he was good.”
