Jamie Maclaren and Aziz Behich of Melbourne City have been included in the Socceroos squad for this month’s World Cup qualifying matches.

The Socceroos will play Bangladesh on Thursday night at the well-known AAMI Park before going to Kuwait to play Palestine on Tuesday.

Maclaren, who was absent from the previous international window, is back in the lineup. With five goals in ten appearances across all competitions, he has started his first season as captain in fine form.

Behich has also been impressive in his first season back in Melbourne, starting every game and scoring a wonder goal away to Zhejiang in the ACL.

They are joined in the squad by a pair of City Academy products in Jordan Bos and Connor Metcalfe, with former City star, Aiden O’Neill also named in the 23-man squad.

Behich and Maclaren will join the national team in camp following Sunday’s home clash against Macarthur FC.
